Carlos is a highly sought after motivational and inspirational speaker. He has inspired audiences all over with his dynamic, real and “down to earth presentation.” He has spoken to corporate professionals, government leaders, churches, Rotary and Kiwanis’s clubs, youth groups, and countless school and community rallies. Dr Reid has authored two books which are “Out of the Hood and into God’s Purpose” and “Facing the future, The Keys to becoming the successful you.” He is a trained, qualified and effective counselor who specializes in anger management, conflict resolution and conflict mediation.
Carlos has lectured at The College of The Bahamas; he has spoken at seminars in Trinidad, St. Lucia, Jamaica, and all over The Bahamas. He has been featured in many magazines and newspapers, and has received numerous local and international awards for his work with troubled youth including an Honorary Doctorate degree and is a 2015 ICON Award nominee. Carlos Reid is the Senior Pastor of The Kingdom Summit Ministries. He is married to Tiffany Reid, and has four children.
Carlos launched the organization “Youth Against Violence,” whose sole purpose is to influence this generation to influence future generations in positive ways. He also spear heads “Operation Redemption,” which is a hands on training institute for troubled young men, and “The King’s Sons,” which is a mentorship program for young men. He runs a suspension program for students who have been suspended from school. In 1994, Carlos started the “Peace on da streets Campaign,” which been focusing on restoring peace in the Bahamas. He hosts the “Peace on da Streets Basketball Classic,” which is one of the largest basketball tournaments in The Caribbean, and it brings together hundreds of young men to shoot hoops, instead of guns. He is the founder and brain child of The Hope Community Centre.
God has used this vessel to impact and empower thousands of people both young and old. He is the host of the television shows “Hope for the Hopeless, Word of Hope”. He is one of the organizers and Co-producers of the award nominated “Shock Treatment.” Carlos has appeared on many television and radio shows. He has sat on The Bahamas National Crime Council, The Bahamas National Youth Council, and The Bahamas National Drug Council. He has served as a consultant to Kent University. He serves as a consultant to the government of the Bahamas and is a Justice of the Peace.
